BC Artists Celebrate the Great Music Of Texas with Tom & Kalissa Landa, Daniel Lapp, Doug Cox & Mick Sherlock

Award winning BC artists, Tom and Kalissa Landa, Doug Cox, Daniel Lapp and Mick Sherlock are joining up for a sizzling hot night of music celebrating the great songwriters and music of the state of Texas.

With such a deep well of songwriters to choose from and without giving away some lovely surprises, you can expect to hear songs from a list as diverse as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, Lyle Lovett, Nancy Griffith, Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin, Sly Stone, Kenny Rogers, Lisa Loeb and Gorge Jones to name a few!

The line up includes two of our Province’s great fiddlers (Kalissa and Daniel) so don’t be surprised to hear some fine Texas swing and a mighty tribute to the Texas fiddlers. With multi-instrumentalist and singer Tom Landa as part of the crew we can expect a nod to the Tex Mex greats like Freddie Fender, Flaco Jimenez, Lydia Mendoza and Doug Sahm. With slide guitarist Doug Cox and harmonica ace Mike Sherlock joining the show they’ll be sure to feature music by great Texas blues artists, including Stevie Ray Vaughn, T-Bone Walker, Lighting Hopkins, Big Mama Thornton and so much more!

This is guaranteed to be a power packed evening of beautiful music with some of BC’s most outstanding artists, a show not to be missed!
Three shows are planned for Vancouver Island, they’ll be taking place in Courtenay, Qualicum and Victoria!
