Fiddle Concert & Square Dance with Quinn Bachand, Trent Freeman, Adrian Dolan and Friends
Sunday, March 19, 2023 / 7:00 pm
6:30 pm
St. Matthias Anglican Church Hall, 600 Richmond Avenue, Victoria, BC V8S 3Y7

In 2017 Quinn Bachand discovered lost archives of one of BC’s earliest fiddlers, James “Jimmy” Isnardy (1879-1978), a St’at’imc packer, rancher, barber and local musician living in the Cariboo. 19th century residents and miners taught Isnardy the region’s earliest repertoire.
For this special evening Quinn has invited Trent Freeman (from the Juno Award Winning band The Fretless) and Adrian Dolan (from the Juno Nominated and multi award winning band The Bills) plus various other musical guests to join him for a concert set that will feature the tunes of James Isnardy. The concert will be followed by a fun family square dance. The dance will be taught and called by Doug Paterson, who will make the experience accessible for those without dance experience. No partner needed.
There will be a short intermission between the concert and dance, refreshments will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to support The BC Fiddle Orchestra.
